Mp3 player help needed

Hi,
I have recently been given an Easy Mp3 player with a usb connection. We have a Mac OS X but we don't know how to save music from itunes onto it. The hardware appears in the disk utility folder and I know nothing about this. I don't know how to locate the removable disk drive if that's what I have to do. Basically I just want to know how to save music to this little player. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Does it show up on the desktop? If not, have you enabled the setting to see external drives through the view options? You can just drag and drop to the best of my knowledge from either Finder or iTunes for most third-party mp3 players but I'm not sure about yours specifically.

thanks for replying so quickly and excuse my ignorance, but how do you enable the settings to view external drives

No problems.

It's in the Finder preferences, you just have to tick a box. APPLE-, should get you there but it's on by default so that's most probably not your problem. Are you saying you can't see a white disk icon on your desktop?

no its not on the desktop and i've ticked the removable media box. The mp3 player is on. In the utilities folder/disk utility/ there is a symbol with no name next to it & also an icon with external MP3 .dmg but I have no idea what this means.

Is it this one? The .dmg is in Disk Utility and nothing is on the desktop, right? Try pressing Mount in Disk Utility when the player is selected and hopefully it'll come up on the desktop and you'll be able to drag stuff across.

Wow i'm impressed. thanks for the hyperlink. Its not the same one mine is square in shape but I notice that it mentions something about mac os 9x. In disk utility the mount button doesn't highlight when I click on the one. Would I need to open up os 9x perhaps? Although i'm not sure how to do that.

Yeah, that OS9 thing confused me a little. I'd ignore it. Looking at the other requirements I don't really think the company quite knows what they're talking about - they still call a regular PC an IBM.

It is the same company isn't it? I looked at their drivers that were free to download but they only had Windows 98 ones.

Also, I really doubt you'd get much further in OS9 which sucks.

I tried plugging it into the pc I was able to download a song & when I plugged it back into the mac theno name icon appeared. It appears I can now copy photos and music onto the player on the mac.

This happened to me with a MuVo - had to plug it into a PC first and let it be configured (happened automatically - didn't have to use the software that came with it). First then would it work in my Mac.
