Stock cMP4,1 flashed to MP51.0089.B00
Radeon hd 4870
High Sierra 10.13.6 w latest security updates

Problem:

Boots fine except it doesn't chime upon startup.

Any App Store application crashes with the following error message:
Exception Type: EXC_CRASH (Code Signature Invalid)
Termination Reason: Namespace CODESIGNING, Code 0x

No matter download from the AppStore or pkg install.

Already tried:
Clearing NVRAM/Resetting SMC
Clean install of 10.13.6
Enabling/disabling SIP makes no difference

I thought it can be related to a hardware problem cause previously I've pulled out CPU tray to clean dust. But everything looks OK on the first glance. Windows 10 runs fine with no issues and passes hardware tests.

It's a known problem happening recently with clean installs and installs over. There is a lengthy thread (20+ pages) on Apple Communities about it, around page 17 a workaround was found.

I've gotten this bug hard on my early-2011 13" MBP, the 1st solution from the post below worked for me after days trying everything:

Seems Apple solved this problem today for clean installs, I'm going to do it as soon as I have time available.

Wow it's still not fixed?

My MBP 2015 seems unaffected (big sur install over catalina), same with my iMac 2013 (stuck on catalina).

My Mac Pro 5,1 though, got it hard as well and I had to block OCSP access with Gas Mask and still have it blocked.

Wondering when they'll fix everything.

It's a High Sierra only problem.
