Read these documents carefully if you're looking at an MP7,1 for AVID usage:




Big notes to point out:
Afterburner is NOT supported with Media Composer.
Multiple GPUs are NOT supported.

"MC does not currently utilize multiple GPUs. The AMD Radeon Pro Vega II Duo splits the PCIe bus thus resulting in lower GPU effects processing. If you must buy dual GPUs, buy two single Vega II MPX modules instead of one Vega II Duo."

for your info - i start non-linear editing 1990 at avid media composer

While this is great information... I don't know of a professional producer/editor in Japan that bought a 7.1 with intention to use AVID. It has reputation for being old high school program. Maybe it will make a comeback?
