iOS MPMoviePlayerController and .3gp

i was able to use MPMoviePlayerController for playing .mov files pretty easily. But when it came to play rtsp .3gp extension it doesn't work.

I must be misunderstanding something.

can anyone give a quick answer whether this should work and/or and explanation of why it wouldn't

Hi mpahl, can u elaborate more about the way with which I can directly play a video .mov placed on handset locally through programming.

If any body having an idea about playing the video's from iphone using rtsp through programming then please guide.

Sadly the iphone doesnt support rtsp streams

Thanks for reply.
So as per your suggestion we can't run the video on iPhone through rtsp. Wht's the code to run the video from server through http.
