Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the Universal Document Identifier (ie file extension) and also the person who set up the world's first web server, along with almost inventing HTML, uses a Mac (primarily)!

Who else do we know of, important and computer wise who uses Macs?

I use a mac, I think I'm important, does that count?

Seriously though, Jon Ippolito and Joline Blais (heads of the stillwater lab at UMaine) both use macs. They are both pretty big names in the New Media field.

Tim Burton's Corpse Bride was done on Dual 2ghz G5 Power Macs.

"An Inconvenient Truth". Isn't he also on the Board of Directors for Apple?

Edit: I just checked Wikipedia, he is on the Board of Directors for Apple and apparently an "unofficial adviser to Google's senior management."

The fact that Tim Berners-Lee uses a mac says it all. He's one of those people whose invention has changed the world profoundly for just about everyone, and yet your average person will never know who he is.
