MS Excel on Mac - is there an easy way to create a simple macro (to insert a blank row)?

I keep trying the RECORD MACRO tag in the developer options, and it just doesn't work for me!

Help!

Is it not just [Shift + Command + =] ?
What is the macro solving that the default keys listed above are not.

that certainly helps! it brings up the dialog box, which is a step better. so now it's two steps to add a row instead of 3 or 4, so certainly helpful. and I searched all over the internet looking for that info, doesn't seem to be findable anywhere, I could use a list of all the pre-set shortcut keys. THANK YOU AND HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I only use the online version of microsoft excel (and other online 365 applications).
Maybe try the online version and see if that works faster/better.
Happy New Year to you as well!

thank you again - I truly did not realize that was even an option! (I wonder what the first step is for that?)

thanks again!

It is and a lot of features are not available or are harder to get to. The web version is a compromise.

I have an older machine so I thought maybe web apps run faster with newer machines. I guess I am wrong.

am not sure what you mean, automate what? I think you are addressing OP?
Oh, I was. sorry for mixing you up. The OP was looking for a way to assign an action to a keystroke to insert a row. There may be other ways to do that but Keyboard Maestro should do that and more.
