iPhone MS Exchange

What are the chances that Apple closes the exploits when they issue a patch for the MS Exchange issues caused by 6.1? I am aware of a number of schools and companies that are blocking 6.1 devices from accessing Exchange, so this is potentially a big issue.

I've just heard of this bug today; apparently, my work will be blocking iOS devices with iOS 6.1 and up until Apple issues a fix. Is there any app that could trick their servers I'm using a lower version of iOS for the time being? My life revolves around Exchange. :/
