Hi folks,

I just bought a 24" old or white imac refurb (wuhoo for me!). it signals the end of the pc world for me...or at least the start of the end :)

quick question: i have the MS natural multimedia keyboard 1.0A for my pc. Is there a driver or something that will allow me to use this on the imac.

I know some of you may have cringed at that idea, but i absolutely HATE non-naturally ergonomic keyboards. I should say, my wrists hate them. So, it's a need. I thought i read that you could use the MS keyboards, but i can't find that info.

btw, do people buy extra apple keyboards? I have one from my mac pro (using one from my G5) and i'll have the new one from the imac to sell.

Cheers,
Keebler

Congrats on your awesome new computer, and welcome to the good guys

Your keyboard should work natively. Some of the specific functions may not work, but you can get an application such as USB Overdrive if you have problems with that.

As for your keyboard, is it, by any chance, one of the new ones? If so, you will have absolutely no problem selling that on this forum (head over to the marketplace!). If it is one of the white ones, you still should be able to unload it here, especially in new condition.

also, i might sugget one of the new keyboards, if it's not. the thickness (thinness?) of them makes them far more ergonomic, as you don't need to arch your wrists as much.

thanks for the info barr. Believe it or not, it's one of the 1st MS ergonomics so it's a serial connection...lol i'm going to a computer shop today to get a brand new one. i might splurge and go bluetooth as well for the fun of it.

thanks for the welcoming too. this is actually my 4th mac, but my first 'play' mac as the others are for my business so hence the enthusiasm on my part :)

Cheers,
