Hi,

I'm using MS Office 365 with a private account but also got MS Office 365 from my company.

I just found out, that there are two different 'installers' available.

Microsoft_Office_16.61.22050700_Installer.pkg (Private)
Microsoft_Office_16.61.22050700_BusinessPro_Installer.pkg (from company)

Is there any real difference? What installer would you use?

I’m guessing they are the same, but can’t say for sure without looking at them. Are they the same size, or do they have the same MD5 or SHA1 hash?

Another option is actually getting the Office apps from the App Store. It basically comes down to if you want to use the Microsoft installer, and their AutoUpdate app; or use the App Store’s built-in update mechanism.

I went with the App Store route to get my O365 apps. I was not a fan of Microsoft’s AutoUpdate app popping up in my face all the time when it used to be used for Edge. This was a couple years ago, so don’t know if they’ve made changes to that for Office too or not.

Found out, that the versions differ.

BusinessPro does have Teams included.

And yes. You're right. I also switched to App Store versions because of MS Auto Updater.... But I need MS Edge Browser and another point is, that Onedrive is "Intel-only" with macOS App Store.

So I was thinking about going to MS direct download and MSAU
