I’m stuck with a 2011 version of Microsoft Office, and am a heavy user of Adobe Creative Suite. Unfortunately my Adobe version is CS4… Now, we can’t even OWN Office or Creative Suite, subscriptions now. I certainly can not afford (in retirement) to rent these applications. Can anyone confirm HIGH SIERRA breaks this applications? I’m appreciative of any thoughts.

You can still buy Office. It isn't subscription only.

office 2011 seems to work fine with high sierra on my cMP

Microsoft's official line is that Office 2011 is not compatible with High Sierra, but as noted, there are people who have it working. Microsoft will not support Office 2011 with security updates or bug fixes, however.

And as noted, you can purchase the latest version of Office for Mac as a stand-alone product for a one-time price.

Right, I own MS Office 2011 and 2016. I bought MS Office 2016 because MS has stopped all support for MS Office 2011. But, MS Office 2011 seems to work fine in HS. MS has not stated that it is not compatible, they have stated that it has not been tested with HS and that they will no longer be supplying security patches, IOW no support! I paid $56.99 for The Home and Business Edition. I use Adobe PS CS6 and Acrobat Pro V11. Both work fine in HS.

Prob you already know it but you can buy cs6, it's relatively "modern".

Is there a specific issue your current setup doesn't do that you need to address? If so what is it? Otherwise keep things as they are.

No, no issues. Have these on one of my other macs that I haven't bothered to update to HS, & thought that some of you may have knowledge of using them in HS. Will leave it as is for a while.
Thanks for your time & knowledge.
