hello..

I have MS Office programs loaded on my laptop. These were installed with license keys and not the current subscription based services.

When i get a new laptop how to I transfer over these MS office programs ? I may or may not be able to dig out those license keys.

thanks..

Time Machine usually carries over the license keys, but I'd look for them to be sure.

Also, make sure you have the 64 bit version of Office (I believe it was a separate upgrade), the 32 bit ones will not work on new laptops with Catalina.

You can also transfer all the related files over to get it to work. I did that by moving files in the ~lubray folder. I did it's while ago so I don't remember all the files intransfered. Perhaps someone has more details.

I've also used Mac Product Key Finder in that past but not on Catalina.
