I was just on a teams call and I was told my camera was ON which I wasn't aware because the green LED at the top of screen wasn't ON :eek:
I quickly started facetime to see if the LED is working and yeah the LED was triggered on fine.
WTH? did this happen to anyone? I guess no more trusting the LED :(

Macbook Pro M1, os version 13.1
update: Sorry, this was MS teams not zoom. But problem is the same

Ok I know what happened. Somehow in the settings of Teams, my iphone was used as an external camera. So I guess everything is ok and it was a user's error

I guess no more trusting the LED

I've been using Micro Snitch, a webcam and mic utility that helps ensure my Mac only transmits A/V when I want it to, for several years with no problems (as well as another security utility from the same developer, Little Snitch, for even longer).
