I was just at a seminar with a tech training company, and the instructor said that MS would like Students and Faculty to be able to start the new school year with it...

(In other words, MS may have it available to students and faculty by Sept...)

Most likely OEMs and possibly MSDN/education subscriptions might see it by September, with actual retail release Oct 22

If they really wanted to get it to students in time, they should get it out by August.

Not all schools start in September...

By October my course will be finished and I will no longer be entitled to a student discount :sob: Have they announced pricing yet? I haven't seen any news on that.

Probably about the same as what Students/Faculty are paying now for Vista.

Well, if it's at the Campus Bookstores by Sept., and your ID is valid until October... ;)
