Since the 10.8.3 update I've decided maybe to get a 7950 to replace my 5870 and I came across this card by MSI which I've seen for a fairly competitive price with good out of the box overclocked performance.

My question is does anyone have experience with the Twin Frozr cards e.g do they fit ok into the Mac Pro? I've popped a link to the model below.

Cheers

If you are able to compare the length of the stock 5870 with your proposed new card, then this link below may offer some extra info.

I fitted an Arctic Cooler assembly onto my stock 5870 and it *just* fitted into the case because my 2010 MP is specced to take a full-length PCI card.

Look at the second photo. My cooler overhangs the actual 5870 PCB a lot. If your proposed card is at all smaller than a 5870 then the length should be fine.

I know your card and cooler are different but if you can get the length specs, this should help you.

This should work I have tried a 7850. They should be similar.
