Is there a program that can use the MSN groups chat service on a Mac without resorting to VPC or a WINE-type solution? (Yes, it is currently working via VPC, but most don't have that.)
From my experience, the thing needs an Active-X control in conjunction with a java applet. Active-X being a Windows technology, I'm doubting that such a thing will exist for the Mac side. (Upon attempts to log in, you will get a "Mac and Linux are not supported at this time" page.)
The leader of a group of which I am a member has insisted up and down that she was talking to a person with an iMac in the chatroom function before she made the final switch to move the group from Yahoo! to MSN. (Yahoo's chat room function logs you out after a random interval not to exceed 30 minutes from our experiences, which doesn't work well for scheduled online chats with presenters that last over an hour.)
