msn messenger on parallels / crossover

Hi guys, cant find an answer to this but can msn messenger (live or whatever has webcam support) run through crossover?

also, i have bootcamp and parallels, my isight comes up under bootcamp with apple drivers but not on parallels xp, how do i get webcam up in parallels? should i use the apple drivers cd i burnt for bootcamped xp?

well, i have continued my 'research' and have determined no work-arounds to get isight working in parallels.

but if anyone has crossover installed could they try messenger in it for me please?

did you find out about crossover yet? because if you see the page2 rumors - you can get a free download of it - i'm still waiting to get my new intel mac though - so i've downloaded it ready.

Does anyone on the forum have MSN working on crossover?

Have you tried installing the isight driver that came with the Leopard Disk 1? That usually helps making iSight work. I use iSight in VMWare Fusion and Parallels.

Using MSN's messenger with isight camera



I'm new to MacRumors:Forums and I'm not sure if I understand you correctly. But what I'm reading into your question is, your not able to use your isight camera when on MSN's messenger. I don't know what parrellels or crossovers are. I to had trouble using my isight camera, but when at a apple store I asked if there's anyway to use it doing messengers and viewing others. Yes, I was told. And he showed me with him logging on to his account. I could see his friends listed who's online on different messengers at the same time. He used Gmail but his friends were on aol, msn's messenger, and aol. There's a few others but I can't recall which ones they were. You join "meebo.com" and if you want to do messenging with others in aol, gmail or whatever join those too but not in this sight. Once signed in meebo, you then sign onto whatever messengers you want to view friends on. You can talk & see all at the same time, or one at a time if you choose. I hope this helps you.
