S scootermafia macrumors member Jan 10, 2005 98 1 Jul 1, 2007 #2 Probably because your hand is not covering the antenna when it's docked - I noticed this though. Creepy. AT&T's service is fine outdoors and in a car but in certain parts of a house the roof does a good job of blocking signal.
