Hi,

I have 2 x 3Ghz Quad-Core 2008 Mac Pro with an ATI Radeon HD 5770 and an NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT driving four DELL 2007FP displays (two in portrait and two in landscape mode). I need to use a VM ware windows machine and PACS software that uses each of the displays for a specific purpose (navigation, reporting, and image display). The display numbering in the virtual machine depends on the host (mac) display initialization sequence, which seem to vary between one power up and the next, and some times even changes when the mac goes to sleep and wakes up from sleep.

Is there a way to force the initialization of the displays to be always the same? otherwise, I need to reassign the functions of the displays under the windows software because the monitors are assigned a different number each time is powered off and on.

Thanks,

Any ideas o suggestions?

I am willing to bet that if someone had an idea or suggestion that they would have posted it.
