I'm a new MacBook Pro owner - so forgive me if this is something that everyone already knows - but just discovered something interesting. It appears that multi-touch is already a part of the touchpad functions - at least when using Google Maps. The "squeeze" and "expand" functions seem to work when using google maps - the map zooms in and out! Is this something new, or have macs always had this capability?

Multi Touch already available on MBP?!

What the MBPs have now is a very basic form of multi touch, but in essence that is what it will become.
I would imagine that the future MBPS will have a larger track pad, perhaps the size of the Iphone screen (3.5 inch diagnal 16:9 ratio horizontally accross the base of the MBP) that you will be able to use to manipulate the screen. However it would not suprise me if some features were added to the current intel machines when Leapord is installed, I mean the track pads have a lot of what they would need in them to register different movements, the software should just need to be updated.
Then again, I am not a software or hardrive engineer so I may be 100% wrong
