i have an imac and it is has multiple users on it. i want to know if it is possible share the photos and other files such as music movies etc so that every user can use the photos and see the photos. if it is possible how do you do it? any help would be greatly appreciated.
i hope i explained it well enough.

This will just kind of be a quick response just in case no one else helps you.

You can either move your iTunes/iPhoto libraries to a public location, or make the libraries themselves viewable by the other accounts. After that hold option while starting iTunes/iPhoto and select the libraries you just made available. Do this on each account.

I'm guessing you don't have MobileMe if you're asking this question. You can just put whatever photos and music you want to share in your drop box, and access them from a different account after.

If they're all on the same computer I wouldn't recommend this, because unless it can get the files from your synced iDisk, it would have to rely on your internet connection. Not fun.

all the users "accounts" are on the SAME computer. so putting them all in a public folder would not be a good idea? i am looking for the simplest most user friendly way of doing this.

You would be fine to put them in a public folder, just not the iDisk.

ok so where would a public folder be? sorry i am new to the whole accounts thing.

Well, you would make it. Personally, I would make the User_who_already_has_the_music/pictures_'s iTunes folder available to the other users. You can do this by going to ~/Music/ and right clicking on the "iTunes" folder, then select "Get Info". At the bottom you will see "Permissions" and from there you can add users that can access the folder. For pictures, do the same to ~/Pictures
