If you rent a movie (HD) on 1 aTV can you watch it on any aTVs you may have in your house or can you only watch it on the aTV you rented it on?

Thanks.

Not sure on device to device but if I rent on my mini I can watch it on another atv in another room via my network.

Only the original Apple TV you rented it on. If you want to transfer between Apple TVs, you need to rent the movie on iTunes instead (in SD).

I'm pretty sure you can rent movies in HD from iTunes now.

Looks like it’s limited to MGM and maybe some other smaller studios. Every other movie I’ve tried to rent in HD in iTunes says “Also available in HD on Apple TV.”

The entire iTunes rental system is horrid. The selection is worse than my cable company’s PPV service.

It is really bad. I don't understand how Apple got licenses for HD on the Apple TV but not the computer platform. Once get they the rest, hopefully these issues will no longer be around.

And yes, the only way to rent and move content around is via iTunes first, then it can be transferred back and forth.
