Hi All,

might be a basic question but I'm fairly new to mac OS. Tried to google it with little luck.

My problem is that I'm using my macbook pro on 2 displays at work, and on it's own at home. As soon as I bring it home and try to continue to work the window resolution seems to be the resoltuion of the macbook pro, but the app displayed in the window seems to be scaled down to the previously used secondary displays resolution.

This would normally fix itself when dragging the window from one display to another, however, I don't have a second screen at home, so I was wondering if there's a way to reset it.

Thanks,

Dan

Anything that forces a redraw should resolve it, like changing the resolution.

A handy tool to quickly do this, and sort out external displays: Display Menu. The free version is very good, have used it on lots of Macs (primarily for projector use) with good results, no issues.

Apple keeps making display settings harder to find and use, but this app fixes this limitation.

Maybe somebody else has an easier fix. You could close/open windows, enter/exit full screen mode, or even force quit the Finder. I like resetting the resolution to force the redraw, but perhaps there is a simpler method.
