I am sure this is somewhat common considering pretty much everyone in a household owns an ipod now a days but i was wondering if multiple ipods can be run from one itunes. i know you cant move your ipod to another itunes very easily but can more than one ipod be based out of the itunes on one computer?

you can have iphones, ipod touches and ipods on the same computer sharing the same library and apps.
I think it gets dicey when you try to have more than one account one a single computer

multiple ipods on one computer

I bought my mother an ipod for Christmas and hoped to put some music on it before giving it to her. I don't have access to her computer. I understand how to create a playlist for her ipod on my computer, but is there anything specific I need to do so that she can use it on her computer at home? How do I get the library onto her machine? If I 'name' it and etc on my computer, will she have problems when she plugs it in to hers? Thanks!

You can't normally load music from the iPod to the computer; it only works computer to iPod. This is thought to prevent piracy (and of course it does ha). There are programs such as senuti or TouchCopy that will g from iPod to the computer, but I haven't tried using them.

Yeah. I use my iPod 5.5 G, iPod Touch, and my sister's fat Nano (pink) as well as my iPhone from my computer.

Not quite. There is an option in the File menu to Transfer Purchases to the computer. It does work with non-purchased music too.

Interesting, only tried using Senuti. I don't have any iTunes purchased music though. But yeah I use my shuffle, gf's iPod Touch and my nano on one comp at a time before no probs. I thought I read somewhere that windows iTunes can't have multiple iPods connected? But I could be wrong.

Multiple iPods

Is it possible to have two iPods on same account on the same computer

Yes.

It won't be any different than having just one iPod linked to the iTunes account. Except you'll have two.

i have my ipod nano set up to sync only my playlists, which works good for my nano. i plan on redoing all my playlists, when i get a few spare hours........ and the motivation.
