I want to have two iTunes set up on two different disks. One for songs at lower bit rates for my iPhone, and one for the higher bit rate for my iPod Classic. At the present time I have to backup and restore each time I want to make a change, and as my library is quit large it takes a great deal of time.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Michael

You want to create multiple libraries. You can do this now very easily. Just press and hold down "option" as you start iTunes. You will be presented with this window (ignore the custom icon I have for iTunes)

To set it up select create library.

Then to switch between the two you can just press option when loading iTunes again and select choose library and locate the other library.

(Also works with iPhoto)
