Or Genius not so smart!

I was playing some jazz with a genius playlist. (using my iPhone & Remote app)
Everything was Great, cool music played in the list, ...
until it started playing Christmas music.

So I want to separate my music.
Is the best option to create another library & move the Holiday music to it?
or are there other , better options?

I prefer 1 library, but ...

Before iTunes allowed for on the fly compression, I tried my hand at managing multiple libraries. I kept the ALAC files on a HDD in one library, then used a second library with compressed files for my MBP and Shuffle. A different circumstance than yours, but it was awful. Never again will I use multiple libraries. They're just too difficult to maintain.

For your situation, I would try to go with Smart Playlists. Just select the Genre as Jazz and go from there. You will need to make sure your Holiday music is categorized correctly, too, like if Marsalis has a Christmas album it might be labeled Jazz. Change it to Holliday and you should be good to go.
