did apple really put this update out where i can only add one contact at a time? in other words, is there a way to "check mark" several contacts while on my contacts list instead of add "amy" add "mark" add "sarah"? this seems really tedious...

From quickly testing it looks like each recipient has to be adding by tapping the '+' and then their name.

Not true.

This morning I did this. All you have to do is:
Type the first or first couple letters of the name and pick the person. You can say "Ok, I want this one to go to Jeff, Sue, and Carol" Then all you have to do is type "je" hit Jeff and he's in the text "S" hit Sue and she is in it and hit "car" and select Carol and she is also in it.

Works fine with either first or last name and it's really fast.

It's also great because it prevents people from sending those annoying chain letter texts from the iPhone since they can't just say "Send to all" or anything.

Ugh, those are so annoying.

I have hundreds of contacts in my list, and scrolling through to check the ones I want sounds tedious to me. I like Buschmaster's method.

Well I guess until any more updates.. that is what we are stuck with! I don't really see why we would need to send messages to a really long list of people anyway.

It is more of a problem for me in the car. I can't type all those names and add individually. What I really wanted was the ability to scroll and "check mark" the contacts I would like to send to. Just seems like the obvious way to do it. But, no more complaining from me. I am just happy I can send to more than 1 now...:apple:
