HAHAHA! Damn, that's going to be funny. I can just see the Munchkin seen now....but Miss Piggy as the Wicked Witch? Hmm, back in the 80s if they'd done this she'd be Glinda the Good Witch. Interesting....

What about Jimmy in "Pulp Fiction"? That was a great cameo surely :eek:.

probably tv credits, since tarantino's been in a lot of other stuff (like dusk to dawn)
 
Yeah, there won't be a Wizard, just those two guys sitting up in the balcony ridiculing everybody...
 
The Muppets are cute at what they have done. I think that the "Wizard Of OZ" is just fine the way it is. IMHO there is not way to improve on perfection. Just not really made for puppets, just would not be the same.

Stratler and Waldorf perhaps... Pay no attention to the two men in the balcony...

I can see animal leading flying monkeys. Fozzy would be a great scarecrow. I can see all sorts of infighting with miss piggy arguing that she should be Dorothy. They may do it as a show in a show thing. So many possibilities.

it wouldn't be improving on perfection. it would be taking it a different route. i have no interest in the wizard of oz, but i do in the muppets. it's not meant to be the same :rolleyes:
 
I think that they should have Statler and Whaldorf do commentaries on the DVD's, a la MST3K. That would be great.

I can't even count the shades of "wrong" that is the addition of Quentin Tarantino to a combination of the Muppets with the Wizard of Oz.

And suddenly, Dorothy whips out a katana and goes to town on the Wicked Witch, while Kermit, Fozzie, and Quentin (in the roles of the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion, respectively) unload their semi-autos at the Flying Buttmonkeys! (though curiously, both the monkeys and Toto are played here by chickens.)

Which my associative memory immediately connects to Gonzo, and from there to the rendition of "When a Man Loves a Chicken" that woke me up the other morning.

WRONG, I tell you. WRONG. :eek: :p

From the sound of it Tarantino will just have a cameo and if they do a movie in a movie then you could have him pitching the above to Kermit who will turn it down. Imagine though Miss Piggy in blue gingham doing a matrix style spin slice with a katana.

Gonzo and the Chickens could be reasonable witch/flying monkeys....

Never heard when a man loves a chicken. Sounds like fun.
