I can see in the 24 battery usage that the music app is running in the background for maybe 5 minutes at a time. I have not started the music app I don't hear any music playing. This is happening sometimes every hour. It is strange that the music app would only run for a couple of minutes only. I have cellular turned for Music. I also have Siri suggestions turned off. Starting and killing off the Music app does not help. I have already removed and reinstalled the Music app. Anyone else seeing this behavior in iOS 15.1? I am using a 13 Pro Max.

Do you have vehicle with CarPlay? Just curious if its syncs or something when you connect it.

UPDATE: Performed Recovery Mode on my phone, restore iOS 15.1 and restored from backup. It seems to have fixed it.

I do have CarPlay. It is an interesting point that I will pay attention after I use CarPlay.

Are you playing music on another device, like a Mac? It's possible that it's syncing your library as playcounts, favorites, etc. get updated.

I’ve had all kinds of random background activity since updating to 15.1. Find My has decided to drain my battery in the last 24 hours and I haven’t used the app in almost a week. It’s like iOS degrades over time.

I also see weird background activity at shouldn’t be there. See my ost about turning off FindMy and still see background activities
