Anyone else see the silly looking "Not Playing" bar at the bottom of a freshly opened Music.app after updating to 11.2.5? If you select it, it goes to a blank playback screen where it starts a full shuffle of the library if you hit Play.

This is pretty lame if it's not a bug.

Seems that it’s not a bug, but an intentional design change.
How worse Apple Music app could go? I bet the design taste in Apple today is broken and twisted. iOS 9 design was the best, not to mention lock screen LOVE feature, one thing Apple promotes over star rating. Now love needs almost same steps as star ratings. Lame.

Mmmm...

I'm still on iOS 10.3.3 but I quite like this! I use that a lot and always need to go to Albums or Songs - Shuffle all to do it.

It's also a way of making people play something inside the app and not leaving.

I don't think it's a bug... just new.

Maybe "Play All" would be better?

With my library of over 3800 songs, when I hit the play button it randomly selects 50+ songs, not the entire library. This is similar to how the Sonos app works (Not Playing). I think this is due to the HomePod support.

Hmm... general consensus seems to be that this is a feature not a bug. I'm not sure I agree. If it's not a bug then at the very least it's been included in this version accidentally - it's clearly not a finished feature yet, "Not Playing" makes no sense (in this context), surely if they were intentionally releasing it as a new feature they'd at least have someone check this.

While we're talking about this bar - I've always felt that there should be an option to swipe it away when music is not playing. Since it was introduced it's always kind of annoyed me a bit that it will sit there at the bottom displaying the last song I played while taking up screen space.
