Upgraded my iPad 2 to iOS 5 last night. Didn't have any music on there so decided to download some of my previous purchases from iCloud this morning.

Now when I try to launch the Music app, it crashes instantly. Have tried quitting the app from the "taskbar", and doing a soft reset on the iPad, but no joy.

Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas aside from a restore?

Same problem on iPad1, ipad2, and iphone4

Same problem on all my iOS devices. They are all music-less devices since iOS 5 came out :(

Aside from a soft reset, you could try a Reset All Settings in Settings>General>Reset.

NOTE: MAKE SURE IT'S RESET ALL SETTINGS and NOT Erase All Content and Settings, as these two options are right next to each other.

If that doesn't work, perform a backup, then DFU restore and set up as new from iTunes. Then right click your device in iTunes and select 'Restore from Backup' and select your most recent backup. If it stops working again, then you probably have a corrupted file somewhere in your .IPSW, of which you'll need to DFU restore and set up as new again in order to get your device working fully.
