I updated to 9.2.1 the other day on my 5S and since then I have been having issues with music. Mainly skip tracks a couple of times it becomes unresponsive after a few moments all closes and I get a respring. May or may not be related but I am now having a similar issue with Audible, if I pause it and then hit play it jumps all over the place, it doesn't save position.

I have had issues like this on Android and the issue was running out of RAM. I never had these issues until I updated to 9.2.1, anyone any ideas?

There's probably something going on with audio if you're also having problems with Audible. I was listening to music this morning and my iPod Touch got warmer than usual. I updated via iTunes.

I use Music quite often and have never come across issues like this. I ran 9.2.1 beta 1 and beta 2. I'm now on 9.3 beta, so I suppose it is possible the issue has popped up with the 9.2.1 release (since it's a different build than the beta 2 for it) but it's also possible it's an isolated issue and not exactly related to 9.2.1.

Have you tried all the usual troubleshooting steps? Such as closing out all apps to potentially stop any stuck processes and rebooting the phone?

Re-sync all your music. I can guarantee you it's not the music app.

1. Connect your iPhone to your PC
2. Launch iTunes
3. Click the iPhone icon at the top
4. Select music in the left pane
5. Uncheck sync music. (this will wipe all the music off your phone)
6. check the Sync music box and click sync (this will copy all your music back to your phone).
