i have a very annoying situation. I have one album, that for some reason, the Music app on both my iPhone and iPad will not play the full length of the last 5 tracks.
They play fine on macOS and Windows.
I have tried so many things. It is not an iCloud Music Library issue as I have switched it off, synced my iPhone and iPad to a playlist containing the offending album via iTunes on my Mac, and still I have the issue!
I can see that the sync copies the album to both devices, yet the last 5 tracks continue to have the issue whether iCloud Music Library is off or on.
Also, I have tried deleting the tracks from the devices and redownloading from Apple Music servers. The result is always the same, i.e. only part of the last 5 tracks play on my iOS devices!
Any help would be most appreciated.

It happens for me from time to time, mostly when I'm Bluetooth synced. I'm not really sure why it does it but it does happen sometimes.

Happens to me too but only on my iPhone and only on specific tracks. No idea why.

Thanks guys. It happens to me on the same tracks and at the exact same number of seconds into the songs on both my iPad and iPhone.
Nothing to do with Bluetooth as happens with internal speaker as well.

I'm getting a similar issue on my iPod, running iOS11.2.5 (it may have happened on previous versions, I just didn't notice it). On the Mac, iTunes shows all the correct info for the music, including the right track length, & it plays properly. However, when I sync the iPod, some (not all) tracks get shortened. As an example, here's the screengrabs for a White Stripes album.

First on the Mac & iTunes:

Note the album length is 45 minutes & track 4 (as an example) is 3:16 long. Now let's look at Music App on the iPod:

That reckons the album is only 31 minutes long, and track 4 is only 2:38 long. It plays fine up to that point, and then skips to the next track!

I can rule out any bluetooth or wifi issues as I only sync via a cable. I went as far as to completely wipe the iPod & set it up from scratch yesterday, and still no joy. It's not a space issue on the iPod, as it reports there's 12.5GB free on it. Nor is it an issue with Apple Music subscription as I don't use that either. I simply have a large-ish library of about 11k tracks that I want to sync to a standalone mp3 player that I can have in my work lab. Without going through all 900-ish albums I can't tell how many albums are affected, but I have at least 7 albums added in the last 6 months where the album & track lengths on the iPod are a lot shorter to the actual album length on iTunes. One case is really bad: I recorded from my old vinyl copy Use You Illusion I by G'n'R (I know, I'm an old rocker!). On iTunes, it's correctly reported as 1hr15min long. However, on the iPod, it's only 46 minutes! That's a loss of over a third of the music from one album. Has anyone had any joy finding out what the issue is and how to fix it?!?!?
