Is their a way to see details around album art image size?

the Apple scripts I don’t think work in the new “music” app on the Mac OS.
I just want to export the album art from all my music so that I can review the size of the image.

any ideas?

Not sure how to bulk-export the album art, but you can definitely export one at a time. Click on a track, press CMD+i to bring up the info window, click on the Artwork tab, then click and drag the image to your desktop (or other location) to export the image file (not sure why they don't have an export button or right-click menu option to do this - only click and drag works).

The real question is where Apple‘s Music app or iTunes with Windows and older Macs gets the artwork. If it is crowd sourced similar to Grace Note DB for song title info, then it may depend on what is available. I notice that some of the auto generated album art for songs and albums I have added to Apple’s Music app are really low resolution and I need to do a Bing search for a higher resolution album art image and paste it in.

Digging in Music's Album Artwork folder I've found some .itc files.

After removing with a HEX editor the bytes from the beginning to data word (included) I got a PNG/JPG file. It measured, in my case, 640x640 pixels.

I manually edited all my album art, but I feel I may have missed some and didn't replace them with my HD art. So I just wanted to export so I could filter the dimensions of the album art.

I understand. I have done this also many times, sometimes Apple Music replaces my art with their own and it is incorrect.

Oh I turned off them updating my album art. Disabled it in preferences.
I don’t stream or use iTunes Match.

Or maybe is there an app that can export album art from a folder that has music. Doesn’t have to be through iTunes/music app…

maybe there is a third party app that can do t.
