So I've been having this problem for ages now and I have no idea what's going on.
Basically when playing songs in the Music app (native local tracks, not Apple Music, which I have disabled) it will play some tracks normally, but if I skip to the next track, it will sometimes very quickly skip a bunch of tracks. I only notice this if I'm looking at the app/UI as it happens so fast that I never hear the songs actually start.
I used to have a similar problem many many years ago with one of the iPod nanos, that it would never be able to play songs that iTunes had downsampled to 128kbp (to save on space). I don't think I have that enabled anymore as I have much more capacity on my phone now. I only mention this as it looks like a similar problem.
What's weird is that if I see it happening, I can sometimes "skip backwards" to go back and actually play the song. So it's working, it just skims past it for some reason.
Has anyone had a similar problem?
I'm on an Xs 256GB running 12.0.1.
