I have had to upgrade to iOS 10 which I hate.

The music app now shows artwork from the iTunes Store for tracks which it can find rather than artwork I had downloaded (I.e different) for the song from iTunes

How can I stop this from happening? There seems to be no option to override it in iTunes or on the phone.

Thanks

I don't look at artwork when listening to songs. Never even noticed as the music app is open for a second then switch to something else.

Do other people not find this deeply irritating that apple think they know better than the user?
Probably most people don't care. Altering artwork for a song is already an incredibly niche thing for a user to be doing. Apple caters to the majority, not the minority im afraid.

For instance a compliatiom album of many tracks without artwork,so you add a photo but a few tracks have links to the iTunes Store. The feature itself is not irritating, I see the utility, it's infuriating however that apple force it as a function rather than offer it.
