Hello,
I've recently bought a new MacBook for use when I'm away from home. I'd like to listen to my music collection on it. The only problem is that my collection is on an external drive attached to my MacMini at home. Is it a straight forward job to copy it across or even synchronise it? I know I can share the music from the Mini, but that is not much use when I'm 350 miles from home. Any ideas? and humping the external drive around is not an option. Travel light you see.

Get an iPod!

Are you saying you'll carry your Mac Mini around with you? It's easy to copy your iTunes folder to the default iTunes Music folder on your Mac Mini. Drag and drop. Just make sure you change the default location under iTunes preferences.

Very helpful thank you.

Guess you didn't read the first sentence, mmm something about a MacBook.....mobile.......getting warm? Guess it is very very early where you are.
Gonna find it quite hard to do CAD, and word processing on my IPOD, and no I don't want an another IPOD.
