I'm running GM and had two questions.

1. Is lyrics only for Apple music or should I be seeing it for my own music?

2. Is voicemail transcription working for anyone? I just tried it and it did not work.

1: Lyrics isn't even close to all songs. Seems mostly just some popular songs it has been added to. It might be Apple Music only to automatically be there.

2: Voicemail transcriptions is limited to iPhone SE, 6s, 6s+, 7, 7+ and I don't think every carrier yet either. Having visual voicemail in your plan is also required. Last I've see is that it's still not a couple countries (US and maybe UK?)

As long as you have method to add lyrics into your music files using iTunes you can see it. Embedding local lyrics is there back to iOS 7.

I think he was asking if lyrics are populated automatically by Apple Music.

The answer is they should be, but it seems like Apple maybe didn't process/finalize as many songs as they wanted to, by the time iOS 10 hit the general public.

Logically, it also can only provide lyrics, if the your song not purchased through iTunes or streamed from Apple Music, is matched against a song in the iTunes Store. Easiest indication of this would be if you have iCloud Library/iTunes Match and/or Apple Music, because you can detect which songs Apple has matched in it's catalogue from your library.

1. It's specifically advertised for Apple Music. If you've manually added lyrics; then you'd see them.

2. It's reliant on if your carrier/network supports it. Has to be one that supports Visual Voicemail, as well as it's a supported device.
