Hello,

After being gone from Apple Music for 1 year I decided to switch back from Spotify but the problem is a big chunk of my music is missing. Is this a common problem? All of the music was available through Apple Music but I can’t remember the songs. Is there a way to fix this without manually adding thousands of song one by one?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Do you have all the songs in your library in Apple Music? I am guessing that an app called Song Sergeant will work. It's in the App Store for $20.00. Or visit https://www.lairware.com/songsergeant/. It's the same price. I use it every day because I have a lot of unplayed songs that may have already been added. So when songs that haven't been played before have one play in the play count, I run the app. Then the songs that are listed more than once in your playlist are added together, but the better version of the song file is used.

Re-subscribed within 90 days and ALL the music uploaded from CDs through the years (iTunes Match) and all playlists are 100% gone. I've let subscription lapse from time to time, for up to 1 year, and never had this issue. Apple support escalation team has "no idea" why, or how to fix. They kept saying that Apple Music is not a backup service.
