iPhone Music not playing where I left off anymore

iPhone X recently started forgetting what I had playing and not starting from where I left off. Is there any fix for this, as it's quite annoying? My iPhone is loaded with music and I'm using the Music app. I notice that instead of the last track showing, its says "Not Playing" and will start playing the first song in my library instead.
