Music On IPhone Problem

I have a problem and was wondering if anyone can help.
The music only plays on shuffle
ie. I select an album and start with first song and it shuffles through album

I have tried to figure this out but no luck.

I have another friend with the phone and he isnt having the problem!

Just a thought. Have you checked the song data in iTunes? Have the songs got track numbers in their info, as this is what the ipod app uses to get the correct song sequence.

When a song is playing, touch the artwork and another display will appear under the song name. If the Shuffle icon is blue, it's on Shuffle. Touch it to turn it off.
