honestly...i doubt there are any good music player apps out there, because your iphone has an ipod function. why bother making a music app when there's a perfectly good music app already?

seriously, just try restoring your iphone as stated in your first thread.

Better music player than what you have built in your device thru a 3rd party?
Highly doubt that, restore and try to fix it the right way.

I've done that already guys and it's still happening! I can't even think of anything I'm doing wrong. The same songs and podcast are going on the iPhone as they were on 2.2.1. I'm using itunes 8.2.

Fixed it guys!

Haptic was the culprit! Downloaded it from cydia and it was working a bit here and there! Just going to wait for the 3.0 update for hapric!

Thanks anyways :D

Perfectly good? Thats an opinion not a fact. Have you used any other music player on another phone? There are a couple of things missing like EQ. You have to go outside of the app in order to adjust. Because of the lack of hard keyboard, (which I don't mind at all) the search function should be locked at the top of Playlist, Artist and Song menus. The volume control for system notifications should be independent of the volume for the music, meaing if I have the ringer on high the ipod volume should remain at what ever level I last set it. I'm not sure of the following, but does the ipod have the following:
1: Timer to play music for a set time period and then it turns off?
2: In the Song view, is there a way to have all the tracks numbered?
3: Is there an adjustment for gapless playback?
4: Remove silence at the beginning and end of each track
5: Crossfading effect?
6: Control of turning off delay with a choice of time?
7: An alarm clock function?

The headphones that come with the device are basic to. No volume control. Should not have to reach for the device just to adjust the volume for different environments.

Don't get me wrong. This is the best phone I have ever owned, and if Apple keeps the form factor the same size and roughly the same thickness (no keyboard please) I will be getting a 2010 update. But the Ipod function is lacking. And please it is not necessary to go one by one on the above list and state you don't need that. Some people may find the things useful, other may not. I concede that already. Since this is a phone, nobody really needs an Ipod function on it to make a call, but it makes the device a damn sight more useful
