I've had my phone since around July 16th. Today a strange new problem. The music just starts on it's own. I close the iPod app. Put the phone to sleep. Within 10 minutes it start playing music again. I noticed it because i have my headphones connected but wrapped around my neck. I thought maybe the headphones (just regular music headphone) were triggering something. So i unplugged them. Waited a bit. Unlocked the phone, and a song was playing!!! Wasting away the battery!!! I just reset the phone hoping that will solve this problem.

Anyone else come across this?

I'm pretty sure there is a button inside the headphone jack to let the iPhone know if headphones are connected. When your headphones become disconnected the song is supposed to stop automatically. I have had times when the button remains pressed down.

I know that doesn't solve your issue but if you weren't aware of this it might help your diagnosis as it appears you are using headphones.

Maybe that button is loose and somehow gets depressed and starts the music up again.

I wasn't aware of the button inside. If it keeps up, maybe i should bring it to Apple. I'll give it a bit more time. So far the hard reset helped.
