Music playlists

So I’ve had multiple playlists that I’ve created over the years with all my downloaded music from Apple.
I decided to buy Apple Music then cancel it and it’s removed all my playlists.
The downloaded music is still there but looks like I’ll need to re-create the playlists. Is this correct ?

Did you ever figure this out? I just switched from Amazon Unlimited to the Apple Music trial and am not sure I will keep it. I have a ton of playlists from my iTunes library as well...

If you had playlists on your computer, they should still be there and you should be able to manually sync them to your devices.
