Music skipping on SR MBP

I've had my SR MBP for about 2 months now, and ever since I've had it, the music on it has skipped like crazy. It doesn't matter if it's through iTunes, Quicktime, Divix, different speakers, different songs, it still skips. I've heard that it's just the music that must be faulty but I have thousands of songs and they all skip. Any ideas anyone?

I dont think I can be of much help, but this shouldnt be happening haha. On my old laptop (a slow Dell laptop) the music would being to skip if I was listening in iTunes and if I started to run a certain amount of programs. If I paused the song and then resumed, the skipping would stop. Havent had the problem with the MBP but sounds like maybe a faulty sound card problem or something.

are u playing the music off of a external hd or straight off the computer

playing it off my internal HD, no external or anything
