music through iphone in car - better sound quality? static?

My car only has radio and a cd player - no cassette so I bought a monster cable FM transmitter/charger several months ago.

I'm sick of the thing and sick of the never ending battle with static. I've got a bose system in the car so I'd really like to get the most out of its sound quality.

I saw some FM transmitters by belkin that charge and act as a stand which would be great so I dont have to fumble around with my phone. Will I have to deal with static all over again with one of those? I'm begining to think I just need a new deck but that will probably be expensive and a big pain.

Anyone have any suggestions?

you'll probably need to get a new head unit with an audio in plug. on a side note, my stock honda head unit w/ am/fm and cd has an aux in port on the back. there is a connector i can order that will turn that port into a headphone jack. mabey urs has that capability too? (check)

probably does but if I'm gonna go to that trouble I'd just rather get a new one with HD radio.

Fm Modulator not Transmitter worked for me

Fairly simple to do if you can get at the back of your radio and the sound quality is great. There is no comparison between it and the Transmitters (fm) that I've used in the past.

It plugs into the antenna jack in the back of your unit and the existing antenna wire plugs into the modulator.

Absolutely no static and I live in a very urban area. I also don't get any of those strange cell phone tones than I thought I would.
