A friend of mine just got a new RazrV3xx and the phone has musicID a service that identifies any song that you can throw at it... I was wondering if this is possible for the iphone? like through a web app or something?

Anyone? I am new to the iPhone and had this feature on my Sony W810 with AT&T. It's a very useful feature when you are out somewhere breaking your head trying to figure out a song. And very accurate too. Thanks in advance.
You could look up the song on YES.com. There is also a member of the forums who has created an iPhone friendly version. And this way is free.
