I am highly recommending "Brightness Control". It's weird that Apple doesn't give a very broad spectrum of control over the brightness of my new iMac, even at the lowest setting it's still quite blinding when I work at night. If anyone understands how what I mean about this then get Brightness Control. It's totally free! http://www.splasm.com/products/productbrightness.html
