Mute internal microphone from keyboard

I have a new iMac. I would like to be able to mute the internal mic from the keyboard. I have set up a way to wake Siri with voice, but i cannot get the posted script to automatically mute the microphone (i know you can turn it down manually).

Can anyone recommend a good app for this? I don't see any that received good reviews.
