Mute iPHONE

Ok I'm sure that my question has been asked/answered but i have not been able to find what I am looking for
Recently I was able to create a ringtone for a friend's iPHONE using Xp and iTUNES, and it worked flawlessly! NOW after she syncd it to her PC it muted the phone completely, it can vibrate but it does not ring at all when she gets a call or a txt msg. Her iPOD works but no ring ring!!!

see the side of the iphone wih the volume buttons on, can you see a red dot above them..thats a switch that goes from left to right and is used for turning silent mode on and off, slide it back so the dot no longer shows and the bell symbol will reappear on the display.

Yes, yes some one else with an iPHONE was able to show us that lil mistake!
