Hello all,

Safari offers an option to mute specific windows/tabs. But for some reason, if you have audio playing through both a private window and a normal window, the only option is to mute the normal window. The audio button in the normal window says "Mute this tab" the audio button in the private window/tab says "mute other tabs"

Does anyone know how to get safari to let you mute only a private window/tab and not the normal ones?

Report it at bugreport.apple.com - god knows I have reported like twenty billion Safari bugs at this point, especially since Safari 8. Some did actually get fixed evantually (most didn't).

I guess I can report it, but the odds of it ever getting fixed are low. So I'd like to find a way around it if anyone knows something. I used to use an app to control the volume of different applications, but I don't remember the name (sound bunny i think...) and i don't think it could differentiate between different windows of the same app.

Maybe the solution is just to use one browser exclusively for private browsing and one exclusively for normal browsing.
